Bridal dress Wedding Hangers

July 12, 2019

It is always fun to work on a project that is not paper like these bridal dress wedding hangers. I love the way we used gold ink on the walnut wood hanger. Also, mine are a bit unique because I use a pointed pen on these to really capture the thick and thin strokes of the script.

These hangers were created for Emily Clarke Events in my Talia hand. Aren’t the flourishes so lovely and delicate for this lucky bridal party?

Spring Wedding Elegance With Some Serious Flower Power

November 3, 2017

Spring Wedding Elegance With Some Serious Flower Power was recently published! Working with a team of talented vendors on a wedding is one of my greatest joys.  I adore that everyone with different talents brings their skill to a project to make a magnificent piece of collaborative art.  The event will communicate all the feelings the Bride and Groom want to convey to their guests through each piece.  This wedding was definitely full of thought and life!  You can see more on Style Me Pretty but I wanted to shout out to my fantastic vendors and show just a bit here.

Dallas, Texas Arlington Hall ceremony reception

I used my Talia calligraphy for the table signs, table numbers, escort cards and place cards.  The blue and taupe combination was really dreamy and kept the stationery feeling spring and full of elegance.  The escort cards were displayed on the bride’s family silver serving trays.  It was such a nice way to bring a bit of home into the reception.

This was the perfect set up for a spring garden stroll after the ceremony.  Bows and Arrows really did a splendid job with all the floral pieces looking right at home in the gardens.

The reception tent at Arlington Hall kept the Spring Wedding Elegance With Some Serious Flower Power going.  I’m a sucker for a clear top and some twinkle lights though.  The low and lush florals make a perfect statement on crisp white linen covered tables.

Romantic Wedding Invitation

December 20, 2016

This romantic wedding invitation was created by the talented Ceci New York back in 2014.  I had the immense joy of providing the calligraphy for the invitation as well as envelope addressing and seating cards.  The letterpress and rose gold foil treatment was forward thinking 2 years ago (hard to believe it’s been that long!) and her illustrated florals are gorgeous!  Everything was wrapped in a laser cut wrap to keep the parts together. We used my Talia script and it provided the most perfect amount of romance for this invitation.

Here is a photo of the whole suite. I love the envelope addressing in grey to not make everything too blingy.  But the seating cards turned out to be a favorite.  The calligraphy ink is actually a rose gold shimmer (just couldn’t photograph it!) and matched the foil perfect.  I love how they used the floral motif 2 different ways for the seating cards.  It was perfect for this intimate celebration.

Wedding Calligrapher – Dallas, Texas

March 7, 2016

As a wedding calligrapher, I always love working with amazing invitation designers to provide calligraphy for envelope addressing and seating cards. Missing Q Press is top notch and our work together really shines!

Envelope calligraphy in my Talia script using grey ink. You can also see the difference here between address centering (white envelope) and the standard stagger address layout (pink envelope).  I like how everything looks together.  You can see a real thought in every detail.

Seating – escort and place cards in calligraphy using my Talia script in grey ink.  These little cards were very pretty on the table.  They folded into a tent and also indicated the meal selection.  Flourishing in between the information was a nice way to indicate a difference from far away.

Instagram wedding – Napa Calligraphy

January 21, 2016

It is always a privilege to contribute to an instagram wedding. On a rare occasion, said wedding is published in a beautiful magazine. Then I get to share some of the beautiful images with you. Congratulations to Nicole Schuetz (Surto CEO) and Kevin Systrom (Instagram founder) on your wedding and filling the pages of Vogue.

This ceremony set up is absolutely dreamy.  The wonderful chairs, the gorgeous layout all set in the lush gardens.  Also, aren’t those flowers stunning?

This long table with custom linens keep the garden theme alive.  A beautiful October day for a wedding.  Each place setting had a calligraphy place card attached to the napkin by an herb sprig.  I’m loving the purple goblets in different shapes.  It really gives dimension to the table.

Finally a glimpse at the invitation for this Instagram wedding created by Amber Moon Designs.  It was a leather wrapped box with drawer that pulls out to present the bound invitation with marble paper.  I did the guest addressing calligraphy using my talia hand in white on a green paper wrap to go around the box.

Unfortunately, only the photos released for public viewing can be shared (and not much calligraphy made the cut) – but the team who worked on this event did an incredible job.
