Gingerbread House Decorating Party for The Crescent Hotel

March 29, 2011

Back in December I had the pleasure of addressing envelopes for the fun Gingerbread House decorating party for Wedding Planners hosted by The Crescent Hotel. Since the invitation was blue and white with a little bit of red lettering – I decided red ink on the address was a perfect fit. To give it a fun holiday feel, the lettering is a bit more whimsical with just the right amount of curly cues.event calligraphy

North Carolina Calligrapher – Lindsay + James

March 28, 2011

Lindsay came to me for addressing and I was greeted with the most lovely hand lettered invitations by Debi from the Blooming Quill and printed by Bella Figura.

To keep a little continuity, I mimicked the general lettering style and used a gorgeous walnut ink that glided over Bella’s heavenly bamboo envelopes. Everything turned out lovely and congratulations to the newlyweds!bella figura calligrapher

Dallas Calligraphy – Wedding Day Vows

March 17, 2011

Occasionally, I receive requests to letter vows for anniversary gifts – but, this lovely bride and groom knew they wanted their vows to sign on their wedding day. Since the October nuptials had a burgundy and green color scheme, I used the fall as inspiration for the illustration. The vows turned out well and will look lovely in their new home.Dallas Calligrapher

Dallas Calligrapher – Gerry’s 50th Birthday

March 16, 2011

Wow, this one is from 2009 – Michelle came to me for her husbands 50th birthday party invitation. Since the invitation was so fun and colorful, we chose to match the printed font for the addressing. Not a style of lettering I normally do with the weddings, so this was great fun for me.

Dallas Calligrapher – Bar Mitzvah

March 16, 2011

I had so much fun with this bar mitzvah client last year. The envelopes were a gorgeous grey and my client wanted something a little more masculine but still fun for the new teenager! We chose to use Dexter in a black ink centered on the square envelope. I think it turned out great – what do you think?
