On occasion I get to do a little bit of corporate work and last winter I got to work with Super Cuts for certificates during their 24 hours of world record cutting. Initially I numbered the certificates for all stylists involved, then I penned the name of the top 25 stylists who completed the day with the most hair cuts. Fun!

Place cards a Plenty
It’s wedding season and I am busy addressing envelopes and working on reception pieces. There are a lot of options for place cards and escort cards and seating arrangements. I thought it might be a good time to detail out the specifics of what an escort card is and what a place card is and when and how to use them!
An escort card welcomes your guest to the reception and directs them to their seating assignment. Where, typically a place card welcomes them to their seat. Usually this is an envelope with the guests name and enclosed card with the table number. This can be a tented card also though.
A place card indicates the seat that your guest will sit in. Traditionally this is a tented card, but today trends are leaning to a menu with the guest name written on the top. It doubles up your stationery needs for a clean looking table and leaving plenty of room for the floral arrangements.

Cary and Mark – at home
Cary and Mark did a fabulous small reception in their Dallas home.
The invitations were created by Carta Creations and calligraphy by me!
We did a classic black on white address and return address in the Grace font.
Congratulations to Cary and Mark – and to Cary for being one of the fresh faces of fashion in Dallas by Modern Luxury!
Shelli and Rob at the Belo

Six months ago one of my friends from grade school married at the Belo with a smashing party.
The beautiful couple.
Her beautiful stationery – love the pops of pink ribbon with the damask details in these custom invitations. The pink showed up again as the bridesmaid dresses!
We used black ink in the rook font on the envelope address, return address and response card! All hand lettered for this detail oriented bride.

Congratulations – I am so happy for you!
