Cursive Addressing Corona Special

May 29, 2020

Weddings have changed. The guest list has changed, maybe the location. Probably the budget. Definitely the dance floor and tables. You still deserve beautiful writing for your wedding even in these times.

For a limited time, I am offering a special on envelope addressing to help with all the changes. You can get outer envelope addressing in my cursive script using black ink (marker) and the stagger layout for the low low price of $3 each. That is a $1.50 savings off my normal rates.

It is still the gorgeous calligraphy you know me for, with the same attention to detail and customer service. This offer just has limited options to help manage the cost and time involvement. View an example below.

Still looking for a flourished script, custom ink color matching and address centering? It’s still an option – just reach out!

I do not know how long this offer will last right now. Maybe through December 2020, maybe into 2021? Perhaps until my work load demands a reevaluation based on schedule. If you are interested, book now and be sure to mention the Cursive Special!

Change of Plans

March 20, 2020

Change of Plans

Goodness.  It has been a week.  A month.  It’s amazing how quickly we must pivot and readjust when everything is shut down. Change of Plans. I’ve been hunkered down here in Texas for nearly 2 weeks and processing and thinking and crying.  I’m heartbroken for my couples that are having to reschedule and postpone their celebrations.  I am heartbroken for my industry friends who are now looking at 3 months without and income. They are such good people to even consider returning retainers if the events can’t be re-scheduled on a date they are available.

These are unprecedented times and I wanted to let you know:  I am here.  I am listening.  Call me and talk and share and I will cry with you.  I know this is hard times.  But we can make it through together.  I will listen and be angry and sad and celebrate the little things for you.  I’m in your corner and your cheerleader.  You got this.  This is a change of plans.  You can do this.  I can help you.

I know this isn’t much.  But, communicating the change of plans to your guests is one of the most difficult time consuming tasks of a postponement.  I put together a few pretty graphics you are free to use.  Want something more custom.  Just email or call.  I’m here (and not going anywhere for at least 2 weeks!). xoxo

Just right click and save.  Want to share – please give me credit.

Hand painted tile pieces

January 13, 2020

Whether you are getting married in Italy or Mexico or at home, a hand painted tile pattern is so chic. Include it in your China, linens, or stationery! Blue and white is dreamy anywhere in the world, but what about another color scheme custom to your venue? These menus are a simple way to bring color and texture to the table. Finish them off with a calligraphy name in matching colors and your tablescape will be stunning.
Include a tile pattern on your envelopes or label and have the most stunning mail around. I like how this piece has matching stamps to up the impact.
And then love how this box has the pop of a large singular tile on the inside so you really notice it upon opening.

Dallas Baby Sprinkle

October 1, 2019

It’s always a party, and this Dallas Baby sprinkle designed by Gro was one for the books. The menus were layered with vellum on top of a cute pink umbrella. I then added the names in a pretty white ink and sweet script.

Isn’t the entrance just divine? I adore the umbrellas and balloons just floating.

Dallas Ballroom Wedding

March 20, 2019

Here is the thing about a Dallas ballroom wedding, you can seat hundreds of people comfortably and stylishly. This ballroom wedding was certainly stylish with this super cool bride and groom duo.

The Invitations

I worked with The Details Department and Emily Clarke Events to provide calligraphy for the invitation suite. all photography is by Sarah Kate. This suite featured foil, a custom crest and stunning calligraphy.  Again, a little bit of calligraphy and type combo really highlights the important items. Black and white wasn’t drab with a little accent of pink in this stationery.  I really like how the floral envelope liner was black and white and the envelope was blush. Also, how they used a black and white photo for their save the date design.

This show-stopper features my Flourished hand foiled on a black card. The lux design is a chic introduction to the celebration.

The Day Of – Dallas Ballroom Wedding

Day of calligraphy was a proud moment for me. The groom is a baseball player and the escort card display featured a home plate design. These little cards were made of white acrylic and have my flourished hand in black ink. I had to write very tiny and carefully to make this work, but I am so pleased with the outcome!

When the guests entered the ballroom at Union Station they were greeted by supreme hospitality. Each seat had its own cheese tray by Wolfgang Puck catering. And each tray had the guest name calligraphed in white ink with lots of flourishing.  One thing I love about a classic Dallas ballroom wedding is how magical everything feels when entering a room.

Each name was a mini piece of art and no one had to share their cheese and crackers. How yummy does that look?! You can only imagine how quickly that little appetizer cheese tray was eaten as soon as guests sit down.  I can almost never resist a cheese tray.  Much less a personalize one!
