Place Cards with a classic look

January 31, 2018

I adore place cards with a classic look for casual to black tie weddings. These in particular are a favorite for the classic black ink on white cotton paper. The look is a bit fresh with the use of my Sofia script which has a modern sentiment.

Place card with the guests first name only are ideal for a smaller event and show an intimacy of a thoughtful event. When you have a larger celebration, we always suggest place cards with first and last names to help communicate the traffic flow a bit more efficiently.

And for those of you asking: what is the difference between a place card and an escort card? A place card is the card with your guests name placed at the specific seat you want your guest to sit at. Only one guest can be listed on this card. An escort card is a card or envelope/card combo that contains your guests name and the table number you want them to sit at. This can contain a couple or individual names.

It is possible to have escort cards without place cards, but we do recommend to not have place cards in a classic look without escort cards unless the guest count is under 30.

Dallas Event Calligrapher Crawfish Boil

May 23, 2016

As a Dallas event calligrapher, I LOVE getting to work on different projects that push the event design. This fancy crawfish boil by Gro Designs was a fundraiser for Soluna was one of my favorite projects this event season.

Calligraphy was completed in my Samantha brush script using white ink.  This script is fun and casual and perfect for an evening getting dirty with your food.  Although, with champagne, a knife and fork on the table for a crawfish boil, I’m not sure how dirty these guests got!

These little crawfish placecards stole my heart. Would you do something like this for your party?

Luxury Austin Wedding – Texas Calligrapher

April 15, 2016

This as a luxury Austin wedding.  I’m so thrilled to share this special stationery with you. Created in collaboration with The Nouveau Romantics for a special Austin wedding in the spring of 2015. Featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, I am getting to share here now!

We used my grace calligraphy with a modern touch. The save the dates made a special statement using white foil on a bright green paper.  I think the modern lines really kept the look fresh for a luxury austin wedding – and not too stuffy!

The invitation was beautifully letterpressed in blue ink, backed with wood and enclosed in a stunning blue folder printed with the couples monogram. All packed, tied Ina stunning ribbon, wrapped in a box and mailed off with matching calligraphy addressing. Such a lovely presentation

The reception had a wonderful personalized menu with the menu on the back. Foil printed in white on blue paper to match. Then we had escort card enclosures with the same green paper pop from the save the date announcements. Calligraphy was in white for these. I just love the reserved signs for the family to be used for ceremony. There were also placecards for the head table. And to finish off the night we calligraphed on sachets filled with confetti to send the couple off at the end of the night.

Wedding calligrapher – Tuscany

January 28, 2016

This wedding calligrapher is absolutely thrilled to see Regina and Ryan’s wedding up on Style Me Pretty Weddings – Destination this week. It was such a joy working with Regina and the team at Momental for her wedding calligraphy.

I provided totally custom calligraphy for Regina’s wedding suite and monogram. The team at Momental printed and added their extra special painting (to each one!) to finish the process. I then addressed the envelopes and guests were invited!

When it came to day of items, the result was stunning. I must admit, some of my very favorite day of stationery in a long long time. Look at those flowers!  Each white section was hand painted. Swoon. We used the calligraphy to match her invitations. Black for the escort card calligraphy and gold calligraphy for the place cards at the top of the menus.

I’m also in love with the beautiful programs.

Congratulations to Regina and Ryan on your wedding day.

Dallas Calligrapher – Escort Tags

June 19, 2014

I loved working on these escort cards to be hung from lanterns as you entered the reception.  They were so large you could actually read them!  And the lettering was a bit of a fun variation from my normal.  Plus, how much do you love the pretty floral design?Escort Card Calligraphy
