Last week I had the pleasure of working with a sweet lady who is writing a children’s book and asked me to do the lettering on her query letter to get an agent. The paper was amalfi from Italy (loved it!) and the letters were done in black ink with a Mitchell size 3 nib. Above, the letter which will have a wax seal added and the envelope.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of being part of the bridal panel for Ricardo Tomas – Wedding Architect during his fashion show and wedding palooza. I met so many wonderful people in the wedding industry and hope to work with some of them in the future. This week, I will put some of my favorites on showcase.
Today, I get to start with our host Ricardo Tomas. Of course I can talk about him as a previous client and his wonderful work in stormy weather (literally, there was hail and a tornado on my spring wedding day). He is a delight to work with as a client and a peer.
The event he hosted yesterday was superb. There were about 15 vendors (I was not one, so I am speaking from an outsiders point of view) – cake, videography, photography, catering, transportation, jewelry, invitations, dental, hair/make-up, laser hair removal, bakery, travel, floral, dresses and entertainment/music/lighting – each hand picked from around the metroplex by Ricardo. There was a fashion show put on by Lenz Boutique for wedding gowns as well as bridal party dresses. And (this is the best part) at the end people drew for giveaways – 5 nights 5 star all inclusive trip to Cozumel, a picnic and sunset horseback ride, a night and breakfast in bed at the Hilton Park Cities/Four Seasons/Adolphus/NYLO, laser teeth whitening, laser hair removal, a videography package, an engagement session with the photographer, a free grooms cake, digital image cookie favors, a pair of $2500 earrings, bridal party hair/make-up, high tea for four at the Adolphus and so much more. Everyone present walked away with a prize. He was like Oprah and Bob Barker all in one.
This is an event I highly recommend attending next year.
