Spring Wedding Elegance With Some Serious Flower Power

November 3, 2017

Spring Wedding Elegance With Some Serious Flower Power was recently published! Working with a team of talented vendors on a wedding is one of my greatest joys.  I adore that everyone with different talents brings their skill to a project to make a magnificent piece of collaborative art.  The event will communicate all the feelings the Bride and Groom want to convey to their guests through each piece.  This wedding was definitely full of thought and life!  You can see more on Style Me Pretty but I wanted to shout out to my fantastic vendors and show just a bit here.

I used my Talia calligraphy for the table signs, table numbers, escort cards and place cards.  The blue and taupe combination was really dreamy and kept the stationery feeling spring and full of elegance.  The escort cards were displayed on the bride’s family silver serving trays.  It was such a nice way to bring a bit of home into the reception.

This was the perfect set up for a spring garden stroll after the ceremony.  Bows and Arrows really did a splendid job with all the floral pieces looking right at home in the gardens.

The reception tent at Arlington Hall kept the Spring Wedding Elegance With Some Serious Flower Power going.  I’m a sucker for a clear top and some twinkle lights though.  The low and lush florals make a perfect statement on crisp white linen covered tables.

Bella Figura Calligrapher

November 2, 2016

As a Bella Figura calligrapher, I get to provide many couples with custom calligraphy for their wedding and event invitations. This one was a special request to have the tails of the letters extend off the page. So we used my Mitty caps script and modified it a bit and I just love how it turned out. This invitation is bold, neutral and whimsical all in one.

A close up so you can see that great impression from the letterpress printing process.

Calligraphy wedding invitations Dallas

March 1, 2016

Calligraphy wedding invitations can be a real showpiece for a wedding. Last year I had the pleasure of designing some pretty outstanding wedding invitations. This one is based on my Talia hand with some super flourishing on the bride and groom names.  This method helps set the names apart from the rest of the details.

It was printed by letterpress in a lovely taupe color on soft cotton paper, wrapped up, sealed with wax and mailed in a box with golden envelope addressing.  Lola Lorena managed all the printing, assembly and concept. There were nearly 4oo boxes to assemble!

A real treat to work on. Thank you to the bride, groom (and planner) for letting me part of this special event!

Dallas Calligrapher – Arlington Hall Wedding

September 26, 2011

Gosh, hard to believe it was last summer I was working with a lovely mother of the bride completing the calligraphy for her daughters wedding.  I loved matching the ink color to the invitation color.  Everything turned out perfectly traditional and elegant.
