A few months ago I was playing around with a variety of techniques for a special project.
This particular piece is an exert from Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.
The watercolor paper was washed in a green watercolor that I mixed after I put down the border with Windsor Newtons masking fluid. Then I went back in and wrote the poem in a circular motion using the roundhand alphabet and black ink. Finally I put the Title in the center of the whole piece with gold leaf in a flourished roundhand.
It was a fun day project for me and perfect for a nursery!
