Last night I made dinner for my in-laws. The spread was quite beautiful, I must say: crab cakes, stuffed baby portabella mushrooms, Waldorf salad and lemon garlic chicken with rolls…. However, when I cook there are always some food scraps left over and I only have two options; garbage disposal or trash. (The problems = loud noises and possibility of it not being disposable or the worse… smell)
This week, daily candy presented me with a 3rd option that I L.O.V.E.
The under the sink composter by Nature Mill. This beauty comes in a variety of colors for a small price tag of $300 and can be filled with 60 pounds of food with out the smell due to a powerful carbon filter. Even better it uses the energy of a night light and when it is full, you just remove a tray and have wonderful fertilizer for those plants that are dying on the patio.
AND… you are diverting plastic wrapped waste from the landfill!! YAY!
