London Calligrapher – Logo for Photographer Eddie Judd

Posted in Branding/Logo, calligraphy, published, vendor love, website updates on January 19th, 2012 by nicole

Hello!  I am so pleased to announce the launch of British Photographer Eddie Judd’s new look.  Her website is fresh feeling with the custom lettering, which reflects her photographic style to the max. I am thinking another trip to visit my mother in law is called for… and a session needs to be scheduled for my family!

I am loving the look of the logo watermarked on her gorgeous photos… how can you not?  If feels personal and special but not over the top fancy…. like it could almost be her signature (if we all lived in the times of using dip pen and ink again!).

I also pulled together a few little “mini” logos to use on stickers and tags as she pleased.  This was such a fun addition to the brand and definitely something everyone should consider when looking at a redesign.

Thank you Eddie for hiring me to work with you on your new look and I am so happy for the growth of your business! xoxo

Dallas Calligrapher – Fabulous Forty

Posted in Pretty Paper, calligraphy, vendor love on January 6th, 2012 by nicole

A long time ago… I had the pleasure of working with Martha the birthday girl, and Jason of Missing Q Press, on this fabulous 40th birthday party invitation.

Dallas Calligraphy

Jason came to me wanting something fabulous and very unique. The birthday girl loves Talia lettering and we decided to put the address on an angle in a striking white ink. Don’t you just love Jason’s orange and pink letter press work? I couldn’t stop touching the paper and feeling the impressions.

Santa Barbara Calligrapher – Peony and Cupcake 50th Birthday

Posted in Food Fun, Uncategorized, calligraphy, published, vendor love on December 15th, 2011 by nicole

It is cold and rainy here (which I love personally), but I was thinking about my spring events coming up and thought I would finally sit down and share this wonderful event with you!  It was such a joy to work with Heidi of Zenadia Design on the calligraphy for the envelopes, menu, place cards, table numbers, and event signs for this beautiful San Ysidro Ranch Birthday party!  Everything was letter pressed and had a pink peony theme.  I addressed the invitations on an angle in the Talia script and a darker pink ink.  The result was stunning.

Kacie Jean Photography provided the rest of the images from the event.  I could not be more thankful for receiving them!

This is the gorgeous centerpieces (and table numbers) as well as a shot of the room during dinner.  Love it!

Here you can see the menu and wine menu sign – lovely in pink!

My favorite part of the whole evening was the cupcake and candy table.  All pink themed with a ton of different cupcake flavors (I think there were 7!).  I Also loved the peony candy tags for a pop of white in all that pink.  And isn’t the hearth gorgeous?  I’m thinking someone can come and do mine like that all year round :-)

You may have also seen this on Oh So Beautiful Paper back in July (yes, I am that far behind on sharing) – Thanks Nole for sharing our work!

Wedding Calligraphy – Stephanie + Ryan in Dallas

Posted in Wonderous Weddings, calligraphy, vendor love on June 1st, 2011 by nicole

Another lovely invitation design by the wonderful Hollye with Carta Creations.  It is so springtime feeling, don’t you think?

We used a grey ink to keep the soft look in the Talia font.  The band on the left is actually the belly band that went around the entire invitation.

Derby Inspired Calligraphy on Style Me Pretty

Posted in Wonderous Weddings, calligraphy, inspirational, published, vendor love on May 16th, 2011 by nicole

Today a derby inspired photo-shoot with some fabulous vendors was featured on Style Me Pretty Texas! Check out their full post here.

Working with a great team really helps the color and fun of this inspiration translate into real life.  Bows and Arrows designed the lovely floral, Greg Bloomberg Photography captured the wonderful photos.  Sugar Bee Sweets mastered the lovely cake table and James with Pure Vida Salon rocked the hair and makeup on our models.

Jason from Missing Q Press is a creative genius and made these cute paper ribbons that I added my calligraphy to.  I am also loving the stunning menu’s and darling gold horses that topped the eclectic table settings.

Everything really came together at the Rocking M Stables in Dallas where our horse was hamming it up for the camera. *no animals were harmed during the execution of this shoot.

While the Kentucky derby was a week ago, we think you could pull off a great Belmont party instead (or translate to a chic baby shower)!
