West Virginia Calligrapher – Julian + Meredith

Posted in Pretty Paper, Wonderous Weddings, calligraphy, images, published, vendor love on December 14th, 2012 by nicole

Meredith and Julian married at the Greenbrier in West Virginia and it was a beautiful wedding!  You can see photos from the entire weekend on their Style Me Pretty feature. I had the pleasure of working on the rehearsal dinner calligraphy.  We did table numbers, seating cards, food signs and directional signs – all in glittering gold on deep black paper.  Everything turned out beautiful.  All photos are provided by the talented Christian Oth Studio.

Today Show Calligrapher – Memorial Day Entertaining

Posted in calligraphy, inspirational, party politely, published, vendor love on June 5th, 2012 by nicole

Wow!  It’s amazing that June is already here – May completely passed me by!

I am excited to share this Memorial Day Entertaining Guide (a little late but still applicable to summer entertaining), my calligraphy was paired up with a wonderful segment by Kim Whitman on the Today Show for Memorial Day.

Kim put together a fun popcorn bar and used my lettering for the item signs.  They turned out super cute with the red and blue paper with white lettering and fun ribbon accents.

I really love the little signs with the modern take on the red paper border only being on the top & bottom rather than all the way around.  Also – who doesn’t love how much the white ink pops on that gorgeous navy blue card?  It’s about as yummy as the popcorn bar and toppings!

Southern Weddings Magazine

Posted in calligraphy, vendor love on January 13th, 2011 by nicole

Hi All!  A few months back Southern Weddings Magazine announced they were going to have a mega photo contest for their readers.  After picking up the magazine reading and re-examining every picture I determined that there was no other wedding magazine I ever needed to purchase.  (I try to keep all the inspiration found very digital to keep my studio space footprint low).

Anyways – I set up my camera, remote release, wrote a little chalk board sign & grabbed my magazine for a little photo shoot.  Yes, I took this picture of my self and let me tell you – self portraits are difficult if you are trying to get more than just your face in there!  So this was the best of approximately 100 photos taken with my toe pressing the photo release button :-)

What’s up for grabs?  As a finalist in the V3 Mega Photo Contest I have the opportunity to choose from a $50 ITunes gift card, an ad on the blog, or a Mini Instax camera.

Of course I am aiming for an ad on the blog (dreaming of a feature with them in V4 too – any takers?).  So please vote!  I’m #10 :-)

Letterpress + Calligraphy Wine & Gift Tags

Posted in calligraphy, party politely on November 23rd, 2010 by nicole

A few months ago I created these borders (by hand!) to use for letterpress gift tags.  Now that the holiday season is upon us, they are getting some use tied around hostess gifts.  I also sent some to a former bride with their lovely monogram – perfect personal little touch for the newlyweds.

Want some?  E-mail me.  Available in square & rounded corners.
