This wedding was amazing.  Held at the Fort Worth Zoo, Lindsey and Reid had flamingos, penguins, sparkle, shine and lace at their fall fete.

I also wanted to show my other lovely design for Bella Figura this year – Aquinnah.

This one is a combination of Mitty and capitals.  The feeling is so different from the last with printing in navy and powder blue.  It is perfect for a destination wedding – whether it is a fancy chateau outside of Paris or a simply lovely beach front wedding.  It really is a universal design and has a feeling of being written by hand – like a love letter to your guests.

Wedding season is in full swing!  And I have 2 new invitation designs with the lovely & wonderful Bella Figura.

The first is…. awesome.  I used the mitty font in classic black and jazzed it up by placing all the lettering on an angle and adding touches of copper (yes, real copper!) for an accent.  Let me tell you – in person this suite (Gracieux) really shines.

Place your order now.  And for those of you who say – how long does a calligraphy invitation take? My rule of thumb is: allow 3 weeks for designing with Bella Figura, 2 weeks for printing and 2 weeks for calligraphy addressing.    It is better to be early because rush fees can add up!

Just a quick update today – annual USPS postage rate increases took effect yesterday so don’t forget to make sure you have the new valid rates.

$0.46 for 1 oz, $0.66 for 2 oz and $0.86 for 3 oz letters.  Priority mail rates have also gone up to $5.60 for flat rate envelopes $19.95 for express flat rate envelopes.

Your forever stamps are still valid without additional postage needed!

Last summer a little end of summer bash was thrown and I had the joy of addressing the envelopes.  Since this was not a wedding, and the envelopes were black, we decided to do something a bit more casual while still pretty.  I did a play on the old teaching Palmer style and was quite happy with the look.

Earlier this summer I had the joy of working with Emily on her seating cards.  The embossed rose, eggplant color and silver ink is just really lovely. 

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of working with Ebony Peoples on a fun wedding favor.  A personalized dinner charger.  I think they turned out stunning and would be really wonderful personalized to the guest for a small dinner or holiday gathering where everyone is seated.

I was looking through my photograph files (and trying to organize) and found this photo of personalized note cards.  I just love the simple lettering, each by hand and original with a color coordinating duplexed paper for the back.  So they were extra heavy and you could feel the texture of the ink of the paper.

This weekend a pretty neat event is happening at Union Station on Sunday, November 4 from 2-7 pm.  It is called The Art of Bridal Style, put on by November Lily and features beauty treatments, drinks and a fashion show with wedding gown designers Carol Hannah (LOVE!) and Nha Khahn.  You can purchase tickets here.  It’s a fashion focused bridal event with so many cool things like a beauty lounge with services like eyelash extensions, teeth whitening, make-up and hair stations, etc with a fashion show as well… and we can’t forget the Men’s 007 groom’s lounge and the Baubles bar (the accessories lounge).

These two are about to celebrate their 2 year anniversary and I think that I can finally share the photos of their stationery!  I worked with Julian Leaver (who is now with Bella Flora) and the lovely Hollye Edwards of Carta Creations.  They had a beautiful wedding in Ravello, Italy filled with photographers Karlisch + Wrubel and DJ Lucy Wruble mixing the tunes.  It sounded like an incredible event.

These are the great save the dates.  We used the Jane font – the envelopes were pretty tiny so it worked out well.  I love the envelopements pattern liner and folder.

The invitations had the same colors palette.  I adore the cute monogram tag and thick satin wrap that holds the suite together.

A few iphone pics from Julian.  The estate tables under the incredible arching ceiling is simply stunning.

The escort cards – hanging by more pretty satin ribbon… and a close up of the table setting – you can see place cards and personalized menus adorned with my calligraphy.
