Stationery… for the house?

Posted in Playing House, Pretty Paper, calligrapher for hire on October 29th, 2009 by nicole

Hooray. I love this next product. Completely custom. The house is a hand drawn rendition of your house! (yes, send me a picture of your house and I make a drawing from it!). The lettering is of course by hand and it all comes together in either a fold over note or a half sheet stationery set.

I am loving this Frank Llyod Wright lego set that is to be released soon. Way hip and cool. Developed by a team of designers to be as accurate as possible – the included booklet tells you how to put the masterpieces together as well as historical photographs and information.

The wave ring by onestonenewyork on etsy definitely caught my attention. Delicate and simply alone or a bit trendy and funky paired as three. A must have in any collection. $165 for 3 14k gold rings or $45 for 3 sterling silver rings.

Inking my body is out of the question, however I am digging these custom designs by Jessica Rust found on dinnerware. Perfect for a little twist on the traditional patterns and completely unique to you! The dessert set (4 plates and mugs) for $160.

Finally, I have been in love with these bird feeders from Eva Solo (maker of the wonderful tabletop grill) for months and decided to share with you. Gorgeous and unassuming. It was “designed to withstand wind, weather and beating wings”. $60

Light Pendant

Posted in Fantastic Furniture, Playing House on December 4th, 2008 by nicole

Recently I have been scouring the web for acceptable lighting for my home. This hand blown glass pendant is pretty cool. Nothing but the bulb, no distractions. Perfect for mood lighting… in the bar or above a strategically placed Barcelona chair would be perfect. A bit pricey at $350 a pop and available on lumens.com
