I think these are fantastic! Simple to make and pretty to look at… oh and delicious. Great for the Halloween or even thanksgiving dinner party dessert for all to enjoy – in the right portion to not blow our diets 🙂 Thanks again to Design Crush via Gourmet for another inspiring post!

Huzzah for more fingerprint inspired items! This one combines the beauty of nature (your fingerprint) with the beauty of nurture (your handwriting). I am loving this idea first seen on Design Crush, this is definitely a project that will indulge in some creativity. Brilliant! Just fingerprint, blow up and write a 300 word self description in the space where your fingerprint lines are. It’s all about you! I think this would be an ideal newborn gift for a nursery with a sweet poem or words of encouragement for a new mom using the baby’s hand print or footprint. I am digging the face in the words from the Giulia Miglioranza portrait. Source is the Holley Portrait project by Daniel Eatock.
A few weeks ago a bride asked me to finish some place cards for her Chicago wedding. When the ones she wanted were out of stock on-line (and we were running down to the wire), she popped on over to our local Dallas Paper Source and picked up these lovely gold escort cards in which I used brown ink/gauche in copperplate to write.
They turned out wonderful!
