This is my last post of the year and to go along with my new years resolution to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, today I am blogging about some great resources to have a green wedding. I know so many people get engaged over the holidays and if you want to do it, the resources are out there. While I am posting all of these great resources, I must give credit to Style Me Pretty for the ideas because I have yet to get my subscription to Domino!
Okay, here we go!
First, the dress… what is most important on a girls mind.
Visit Olivia Luca who uses 100% raw silk and 100% Organic Cotton Sateen and makes each dress from scratch based on your ideas and personal style.
My Favorite part are the invitations (of Course!) and Good On Paper uses 100% recycled paper and veggie based inks. While Abby Jean also uses recycled papers for some beautiful work on invitations.

For setting the mood use beeswax candles rather than the standard high CO2 and soot producing ones. You can find some of the most beautiful ones at Eboniste.
Remember that renting all of your wedding setup materials such as linens, tables, silverware, dinnerware, drinkware and serveware is also considered friendly to the environment. But, in the case that you really want to purchase 30 of the same table cloth to never be used again, look at these beautiful organic linen ones that use natural dyes from Rawganique.
Try serving organic wine and coffee at the shindig along with an organic caterer and baker for your cake. The Organic Wine Company has a wide selection from organically grown grapes that are free from pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers along with a personal guarantee to your satisfaction. Peace Coffee bases it’s principles on Fair Trade and being Farmer Friendly by being free of chemicals and fertilizers that affect their health as well as the health of the wildlife that surrounding the farms. And.. they deliver by bicycle and biodiesel!
Next Up, check and see if you site and the lodging of your guests are “green”.
The Green Hotels Association is a great resource for this plus any travel plans you make for the honeymoon. If you are looking at something a bit different for your honeymoon also check out Eco-Resorts for safari adventures.
Travel in an environmentally more stylish way by using the Eco Limo service as your get away and get around method. Woo Hoo for them, finally!
